10th Anniversary Lectures

During 2008 the Journal of Environemental Monitoring will be sponsoring a number of speakers at significant conferences during 2008.

Airmon 2008: Albert Gilmutdinov, Kazan State University, Russia

Albet Gilmutidinov's 10th anniversary lecture

The first JEM 10th anniversary lecture delivered by Albert Gilmutdinov was well received by the delegates of Airmon 2008. Using methods originally developed for his work on modelling the complex flows within ICP torches, Albert described the modelling of the complex flow of air around a breathing human. Understanding these complex flows is important in developing aerosol samplers that give a realistic measure of human exposure to airborne contaminants.

Dioxin 2008: Kevin Jones, Lancaster University, UK

Kevin Jones will be giving a JEM anniversary lecture at the 28th International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants (Dioxin 2008), being held in Birmingham, UK, 17-22 August 2008.
