Issue 8, 2006 of the Journal of Environmental Monitoring features selected papers presented at the International Environmental Specimen Banking symposium, held in Charleston, South Carolina, USA 14th-16th November, 2005.  The focus of this symposium is the application of environmental specimen banking to environmental research and monitoring, quality assurance, and evaluation of the health of biota and ecosystems.
