Future Energy: Chemical Solutions conference - Call for Abstracts

This unique three-day conference at the University of Nottingham, UK, on 12-14 September 2007, recognises the importance of the chemical sciences in the field of sustainable energy, one of the RSC's key priorities.  The 2005 RSC report Chemical Science Priorities for Sustainable Energy Solutions (follow link below to read the report) in particular highlighted the vital role that chemical sciences will play in delivering sustainable energy technologies.

  • Climate Change
  • Energy Policy
  • Nuclear Waste Management
  • Catalysts for Energy
  • Chemical Manufacture and Fuel Chemistry    

Invited speakers include: Professor Sir Richard Friend FRS (Cambridge); Professor Peter Edwards FRS (Oxford); Dr Steven Koonin Chief Scientist (BP Plc); Professor John Griffiths (Leeds); Professor Keith Shine (Reading); Dr Bernard Boullis (CEA, France); Dr David Vincent (Carbon Trust) and David Carslaw (Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds).

Abstracts should be sent to the email address below by 26th January 2007 with "Energy Abstract" in the subject line.
