At the Green Solvents Progress in Science and Application meeting in Friedrichschanfen at the end of September, Istvan Horvath gave the Green Chemistry  sponsored lecture as part of the celebrations for the 10th year of publishing of the Journal. It was very pleasing to see that many Green Chemistry readers and authors were at this meeting and were able to enjoy the talk. 

 

Walter Leitner, Scientific Editor of Green Chemistry, introduced Professor Horvath's lecture 'Solvents from nature - a personal journey from solvent to solvent' and presented him with a certificate to thank him for presenting the lecture. 

Professor Horvath has also written a perspective based on his talk, which is available in issue 11 of Green Chemistry and is accompanied by an Editorial from Professor Leitner. Follow the links below to read these articles. 

Green Chemistry will be publishing a themed issue containing the papers from the Green Solvents Progress in Science and Application meeting and all participants are invited to submit their work. Papers can be submitted via ReSourCe until 30th November 2008.
