Fay grew up in Manchester and London before studying at Imperial College. After graduating with a BSc in Chemistry with Management in 2003, she spent three and a half years working at an anti-doping laboratory at Kings College London. She joined the RSC in June 2007 as an Assistant Editor for Journal of Materials Chemistry and Soft Matter. In her spare time, Fay enjoys a variety of activities including church, swimming, reading, playing the violin and meeting up with friends.
