Carol studied for her degree at Sheffield University, with a one year placement at a large chemical company in Germany. Her DPhil on the synthesis and chemical and physical properties of rotaxanes was acquired in Oxford under the supervision of Dr Harry Anderson. After this Carol spent some time working in publishing in Germany (she is fluent in German) before joining the RSC. Outside of work Carol enjoys running and watching Formula One.
