Prof.em. F.C. De Schryver's research focuses on fundamental aspects of photochemistry and photophysics and their use in the study of physicochemical properties of complex systems. Since the early nineties he has contributed primarily to the emerging field of time and space resolved (photo)chemistry including scanning probe microscopy, optical microscopy and single molecule spectroscopy.
