Katie grew up in Leeds before studying at the University of Durham. After graduating with a Masters in Chemistry in 2003, she spent time working with the Sure/Rexona brand for Unilever HPCE. She joined the RSC in January 2005 as an Assistant Editor with the Analytical team, and has since been a Science Correspondent for Chemistry World and been Editor of the RSC supplement Chemical Science. In her spare time, Katie enjoys a variety of activities including salsa dancing, swimming, badminton and the theatre and she also likes to travel.
