3D Images

The RSC can accept 3D image files for use as Electronic Supplementary Information, and for publication in e-only journals.  

1 - Acceptable file types

The following formats can be accepted by the RSC:

• GAUSSIAN Input format
• MOPAC Input format
• vrml - Virtual Reality Modelling Language format  

2 - Resources available

3D image files are produced by a number of software packages used for molecular modelling and molecular orbital calculations. The resultant files can be viewed using either the free Chime plug-in or, in the case of VRML files, Cosmo Player.
