ISIS/Draw

The RSC is able to accept files saved in ISIS/Draw format.

1 - General guidelines

When creating your original image, following these guidelines will make it easier to produce useable ISIS/Draw files:

  • Illustrations should conform to the RSC's 'Guidelines for Illustrations'.
  • When adding symbols to your image, avoid using unusual fonts - try where possible to use only Arial, Helvetica and Symbol.
  • Save each scheme, figure, chart or uncaptioned diagram as a separate file.
  • Tables should not be created using ISIS/Draw, as this makes it impossible to use them when making up the journal pages. Tables should be produced using a word processor. If structures are required in a table they should be created individually and saved in ISIS/Draw format, then pasted into the word processor file.
