Spectral Data
Certain software packages allow spectra, HPLC traces etc. from a spectrometer to be saved as data files. These files can then be displayed using the Chime plug-in and expanded and manipulated on screen. Providing spectral data files allows readers to save spectra for direct comparison with their spectra.
The RSC can accept spectral data files for use as Electronic Supplementary Information, and for publication in e-only journals.
1 - Acceptable file types
The following formats can be accepted by the RSC:
- jdx - JCAMP-DX format
2 - Resources available
JCAMP-DX files can be viewed using the Chime plug-in. More information on the JCAMP-DX format is available from the IUPAC CPEP Subcommittee on Electronic Data Standards.
