CorelDraw is a graphics application capable of creating both bitmap and vector images. Bitmap images are made up of small squares of different colour arranged in rows and columns - the smaller the squares (i.e. the higher the number of "dots-per-inch", or dpi), the higher the quality of the image. Vector images (e.g. EPS and postscript files) are made up of lines and curves described using mathematical methods rather than individual pixels.
