3.0 - Saving an image

To make sure your image is saved in an RSC-compatible format, perform the following steps:

1. Once the illustration is finalised, print your image out as a final size and quality check.
2. From the "File" menu, click on "Save As...". In the dialogue box that appears, select "Illustrator EPS" from the "Format" drop down list, and enter a sensible name (e.g. figure1.eps) in the "File name" box. Click "Save".
3. In the "EPS Format Options" dialogue box which appears, set the options as shown below. The "Compatibility" should be set to the version of Illustrator you are using. It is essential to include the document fonts in the EPS file. Once this has been done, click "OK". NOTE: this part will vary according to the version of Illustrator in use. Please use the settings shown as a guide.
