Molecular BioSystems is an interdisciplinary journal publishing novel and significant research that is emerging at the interface between chemistry and biology. The journal is intended as a forum for high quality accounts of the research and development at the interface between chemistry and the -omic sciences and systems biology, in particular research concerned with cellular processes, metabolism, proteomics and genomics, systems biology, drug discovery, biomaterials, and all techniques relevant to these subject areas.

Please bear in mind that the readership of Molecular BioSystems is very wide-ranging. It is not expected therefore that readers will be up-to-date with all of the work published in these article types. It is therefore essential that the article is clearly written, up-to-date, and easily comprehensible to the non-specialist.

Opinions are intended to provide a personal, often speculative, viewpoint or hypothesis on a topic of current interest to the Molecular BioSystems community. Provided that they are not defamatory to the work of others they can be controversial and stimulate counter-opinion.
