Capps Green Zomaya Award 2010 Winner

Dr Michael Waring

The fourth Capps Green Zomaya Award was presented to Dr Michael Waring (AstraZeneca) on 29 April 2010 in recognition of his outstanding success in the application of medicinal chemistry to optimise compounds for clinical evaluation, particularly for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and cancer.  

Dr Waring presented the Fourth Memorial Lecture entitled "Optimum lipophilicity and compound quality, strategies and consequences for optimisation ".
