About the candidate
David Lathbury is the Director of Process Chemistry at AstraZeneca. He has worked for Shell, MTM Fine Chemicals, SmithKline Beecham and AStra, now AstraZeneca since 1998.
He studied for his BSc and PhD at the University of Southampton under the guidance of Phil Parsons. He undertook Post Docs at Cornell University with John McMurray and the University of Bath with Tim Gallagher.
He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Chair of the Professional and Career Development committee and the Chemistry: The Next Generation management committee.
