Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund


The Trust finances a number of projects related to research, development, education, training, continuing professional development, communication and awards in analytical science.


AD Schools' Analyst Competition

A national competition run by the RSC's Analytical Division for first year sixth form students studying AS level Chemistry or equivalent.

Analytical Division Distinguished Service Award

Recognises exceptional voluntary service over a period of years to the Analytical Division of the RSC

Industrially-Sponsored Awards

Through these awards, the RSC bestows the highest accolade on members of the chemical science community

MSc Studentships - Chemists in Industry / Public Service

Awarded to members of the RSC who are employed in industry or public service, with the opportunity to obtain advanced training leading to an MSc in Analytical Chemistry/Science

Overseas Conference Travel Grants

Awarded to members of the RSC Analytical Division

Robert Boyle Medal

Awarded biennially to an analytical scientist working overseas who has made outstanding contributions to analytical science

Ronald Belcher Memorial Lectureship

Awarded, and the lecture given, annually on an analytical topic by a graduate student of a British or the Republic of Ireland University

RSC/EPSRC Analytical Science Studentships

Awarded through research supervisors for research projects likely to make important contributions to the advancement of analytical science in the UK

RSC Prize in Analytical Chemistry

Awarded for the best performance in analytical chemistry/science in an approved degree course

SAC Gold Medal

Awarded biennially to someone who has made outstanding contributions to analytical science, principally through research, but also noting education, consultancy and service to the ...

SAC Silver Medal

Awarded to a scientist under the age of 35, working in any field covering the practice and teaching of the analytical sciences

Sir George Stokes Medal

Awarded biennially for outstanding and sustained contributions to analytical science, which has led to developments to chemical analysis.

Theophilus Redwood Lectureship

Awarded, and the lecture given, annually by a leading analytical scientist
