Chemistry World Entrepreneur of the Year
This award is in recognition of an entrepreneur who has successful started, or contributed to starting, a chemical science company that has clear indications of commercial promise.
The award is open to anyone that works in the chemical science sector who has brought products to market over the last two years and has a promising IP portfolio. The company should also show further exploitation potential.
Judging is undertaken by an experienced panel of entrepreneurs and industrialists. This year's awards ceremony took place on the evening of the Thursday 17 April 2008. Applications for next year awards will open autumn 2008.
Chemistry World Entrepreneur of the Year 2007
The deserved winner of the Chemistry World Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2007 was Harren Jhoti, Founder and CEO Astex Therapeutics.
