RSC Policy Bulletin 11

Professor Dave Garner, RSC President, introduces the latest issue of the RSC Policy Bulletin discussing the future of UK chemistry research, a cause of concern amongst some of the UK chemistry community. Professor Garner highlights how the RSC is keen to encourage improved dialogue between the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the chemistry community to help ensure the future provision of resource will enable the UK chemistry research community to remain internationally competitive.

This issue also includes a discussion on the A-level selections made by students from an ethnic minority; an article highlighting the prospective impact of EU REACH regulation; details of the launch of an RSC report looking at food security and sustainability and an article looking at 'greener' pharmaceutical products.
