EU Framework Programme

The Framework Programme is the EU's main programme for funding research. The current cycle is FP7 (2007 -2013), with a budget of 50.5 billion euros. UK performance in FP7 is strong, with the UK gaining 14.4 % of funding to date. However, participation between sectors varies.

Like the rest of Europe, the UK government is currently considering how we would like to see the next Framework Programme (FP8) develop. This call for evidence seeks to inform their views before the European Commission's early proposals for FP8 in 2011.
