Environment Health & Safety Committee
The Environment, Health and Safety Committee (EHSC) is an expert working group concerned with promoting a balanced understanding of hazards and risks associated with chemicals. EHSC's strategic objectives are to:
- Influence public policy and legislation on health, safety and the environment to ensure that they are based on sound science and in the public interest.
- Provide essential health, safety and environmental guidance for RSC members to help them fulfill their responsibilities as professional chemists.
- Help to improve the public image of chemistry and chemists by improving public understanding of the risks associated with the benefits of chemicals.
- Promote Sustainable Development through the above 3 objectives.
