If you would like to access a paper from an RSC journal to which you do not have access/a subscription you can view and download the PDF of the paper using the pay-per-view option. The price of single articles in RSC journals is £36 (from 1st January 2013). The service allows customers to gain direct access to an article by paying by credit card using the RSC's secure payment mechanism. Immediately the payment details have been validated, the customer can gain access to the required article file for a period of 7 days.

To access a paper on a pay-per-view basis simply browse the journals contents pages or use the journals search facilities (see links below) to select the paper of your choice. Clicking on the full-text link for the required article produces an intermediate page containing a link to the pay-per-view options for that article.

The system uses a 'shopping basket' approach which allows the purchase of multiple articles at one time.
