Our newly elected members were announced at our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 6 July in Burlington House.
Vacancies & elections
We encourage broad representation on our governance bodies, drawing on those with industry and academic or other relevant backgrounds. We seek members who will represent the diversity of our membership in terms of location, gender, ethnicity and age range, with an interest in the breadth of the chemical sciences.
Vacancies to our Council, Boards and Divisions will be announced in January 2017 for elected members to serve from the Annual General Meeting in July 2017 and are advertised with any eligibility criteria that might apply. If the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies a ballot will be held.
Every member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, regardless of membership category, is entitled to vote in elections for Council and Boards. Members are required to be subscribed to the respective Division to be entitled to vote in the Division election.
