Paul Minett
Commercial Sales Manager
"I pursued a career in publishing after some amateur experience; producing a magazine for our darts league and co-hosting a show on university radio. Working in media sales I found great motivation alongside clients; identifying solutions for their unique requirements. This led me to the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2011.
"My role involves global responsibility for commercial sales across our portfolio of magazines, events and digital media. With chemistry playing such a vital role, I am delighted to work alongside organisations that help the sector to advance and succeed."

"In 1991 my media career kickstarted on a magazine called Laboratory Update. I then worked on leading motoring titles including BMW car magazine, and Max Power. I have worked with SMEs and household brand names, helping to expand their business and raise their profile through a range of media solutions.
"I took a career break to travel around America and Australasia then on my return, I ran my own business while my children were growing up. In October 2012, I joined the commercial team at the Royal Society of Chemistry."

Toni Moon
Senior Commercial Sales Executive, Recruitment
"I gained most of my sales experience working for Nestlé, selling their full grocery portfolio which may explain my love of coffee today.
"After taking time out to bring up my family, I was lucky to secure a part-time position with the Royal Society of Chemistry. Six years later, I work full time specialising in recruitment advertising and last year launched our successful recruitment fair Chemistry World Jobs Live.
"When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in my garden pretending to be Barbara Good - sharing the good life!"

"I rebelled against the academic family trend and spent my early career on the show jumping circuit, representing GB on the U18’s team in 1999.
"I migrated into media sales in 2002. Since then I have matched clients with advertising solutions at exhibitions, in magazines and on commercial radio.
"The charitable sector appealed to me and I was delighted to join the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2011. I love being part of terrific team and a vibrant worldwide organisation."

Sam Mann
Commercial Sales Executive
"Before joining the Royal Society of Chemistry in June 2014, I spent four years working for Europe's largest independent publishing house, Bauer Media. I worked on the launch of Outdoor Fitness, which is now going strong.
"Before settling down with my wife and two boys, I was a keen traveller. My journeys took me to America, Europe and Asia. Now with my feet firmly on the ground, I am looking to capitalise on my media knowledge, and work alongside a great team in managing our clients advertising needs."

Kate Morey
Commercial Sales Administrator
"I’ve taken an unconventional route to the Royal Society of Chemistry. I’ve worked and volunteered in many different industries, including broadcasting and agricultural, before moving into publishing. The highlight of these varied experiences was being paid to drive a Ferrari.
"As the administrator, I keep things running smoothly – that can mean chasing up copy, uploading html, processing orders or providing support at public events. Away from the office you’ll often find me either at my local church or glued to the TV cheering on Northampton Saints at rugby."
