Registered Scientist

Tara O'Neill

I help maintain the welfare of the environment through analysing riverways and bathing waters.

Tara O’Neill has had a keen interest in science since she was a child, always wanting to know how things work. This has led to professional development as a scientist involved with regulating the cleanliness of waterways and the environment. That’s not all though, as Tara believes that her education didn’t end with her leaving the classroom, and to find out more you can visit 175 Faces of Chemistry.

“You can find chemistry laboratories in the strangest of places, at locations you would never even dream of, investigating all types of processes.”

How did I get started?

My mother gave me a science encyclopaedia when I was ten, and my father was also a big influence (as a mechanic who was always looking into how and why things work).
