Papanicolaou's stain (Pap Stain)
George Nicholas Papanicolaou introduces a multichromatic stain used for smear preparations of various bodily secretions, from the airways, the digestive system and the genital area. Due its reliability, this cytological staining method is commonly used for cancer screening, leading to a major reduction in death from cervical cancer.
