Chemistry Week is a celebration of the chemical sciences held in November, which historically occurs every two years.
Most Chemistry Week activities are organised on a local and regional basis through the network of 35 Local Sections. This is an opportunity for our members to organise and participate in a wide range of events for local communities. In previous years, these 10 days have played host to a variety of engaging and inspiring activities aimed at both school and public audiences.
Chemistry Week is about our members sharing their passion for the chemical sciences and showcasing to people within the local community how chemistry is relevant and present in everyday life.
Chemistry Week is managed by RSC Staff who will liaise with the Local Sections, RSC members and member groups involved in organising activities and events during the week. Funding is available and Local Sections may apply for a Chemistry Week grant to support their activity or programme of events.
