The following is a small selection from the Journal of Chemical Education publications/software catalogue. More up-to-date and exhaustive information can be found at http://www.JChemEd.chem.wisc.edu
Chemistry Comes Alive! Volumes one and two are derived from previously published material produced by a JCE Software: ChemDemos video disc 1, ChemDemos 2, and Titration Techniques video disc as well as new video, graphics and animations.
The materials are organised in the manner of the Web site. Access is through a browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Links to JCE on-line are provided.

Techniques in Organic Chemistry is a compilation of short video segments designed to teach the basic techniques of practical organic chemistry to college/university students.
In this video the following practical techniques are shown: safe chemical handling; filtration; recrystallisation of a solid using a single solvent; recrystallisation of a solid using two solvents; and product analysis by thin-layer chromatography.
60 minutes. 1998 NTSC VHS tape
Cost: $50 plus $30 p and p
In this part of the series the following practical techniques are shown are: reflux; use of a separating funnel; simple distillation; reduced pressure distillation; and the rotary evaporator.
60 minutes. 1998 NTSC VHS tape
Cost: $50 plus $30 p and p
