ChemClings
ChemClings are a range of shapes
cut from self-cling vinyl which can be used to represent the structure of
molecules and electron orbitals. They will stick to windows, whiteboards, fume
cupboards and other shiny surfaces and can easily be moved around or taken down
for storage.
Two different sets are
available:
- the molecular model
kit
- the electron orbital
kit
Thousands of different molecules
can be made with just one molecular model kit and many atoms and covalent
molecules can be made with the electron orbital kit.
In Autumn 2006, the Royal Society
of Chemistry (RSC) distributed one set of the molecular model kits to every
secondary school in the UK and Ireland.
