A fun collection of 50 chemical egg
races' for 16-19 year-olds. Students are provided with some standard apparatus
and 'junk' items to use to help solve a problem within a time limit. Designed
with enjoyment in mind and to enhance problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Each egg race has a student sheet
setting out the problem, and a teacher's guide giving apparatus lists and
advice on problem solving. This book is excellent for extending normal class
work and chemistry club activities. The activities are also grouped according
to the skills practised, for example, identifying unknown substances or
theoretical problems.
