Materials cards for primary schools

These cards are designed to support the teaching of Materials and their properties for 5-11 year olds.

The cards have a scientific word on one side and a picture on the other. They are self-differentiating and can be used in a variety of ways from 'starter activities' for the whole class to small group or individual work. The pack includes a list of suggested games but the key idea is that children link the words and pictures using the correct scientific reasoning.
