Spectra database for organic compounds

SDBS is an integrated spectral database system for organic compounds, which includes 6 different types of spectra under a directory database of the compounds.

For students 16-18 and their teachers, data on mass spectra, IR and 1H will be most useful. Instructions to use the data base are straightforward. Spectra are displayed and, in addition, transmission values (IR) and peak heights (mass spectra) are given. For students post-18 there are various other methods of searching the database.

Use of the database is free but the designers do ask that use is limited to 50 requests per day and that if the database data is used in a publication or presentation, a proper acknowledgement should be given, such as:
