Introduction
This course is suitable for scientists considering a career in the pharmaceutical industry, academics who want to understand more about where medicines come from and a wide variety of people who interact with scientists working in the drug discovery arena such as administrators, project managers, conference organisers, those working in science policy and education. In addition the course should be useful for teachers who want to update their knowledge in this area, students at all stages of their career and anyone who wants to know more about the principles of drug discovery and development.

The course is run by the Society of Biology in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Biochemical Society.
