Diagnostics and the Developing World 2015

23 March 2015, Uxbridge, United Kingdom

Introduction
The 2nd Symposium on Diagnostics and the Developing World will be held at Brunel University London on 23rd March 2015, 10:00-16:30.

This is a gathering to showcase engineering and bioscience research with a focus on diseases relevant to the developing world. Topics will be in the areas of antimicrobial resistance, diagnostic device development, TB, Ebola and sexually transmitted infections. This event will offer the opportunity to learn what research is currently being undertaken and provide a chance for networking and collaborating toward future research. We are still accepting poster abstracts via the symposium website. The event will be useful to clinicians, researchers and industry.

The symposium is being organised as part of our collaboration with Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda. This year’s event will be run in addition to Sensors in Medicine 2015 on the 24th and 25th March 2015, the days following Diagnostics and the developing world. By bringing these two events to London at the same time it is hoped to have a meeting that will forge strong partnerships and help advance diagnostic science.

We look forward to welcoming you to Brunel University London.
