2015 Antibiotic Resistance Mechanisms Workshop (ARM 2015)

26 - 27 November 2015, Birmingham, United Kingdom

Introduction
Registration for this workshop is now closed. Please email Esme Carruthers with your completed application. The workshop will offer researchers investigating mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance the opportunity to meet to consolidate and extend their expertise providing a much needed forum to allow the sharing of knowledge between all grades of researchers, including PhD students and technicians.

Workshops sessions include:
• Antimicrobial Resistance: Epidemiology & Clinical Research covering PK-PD, host adaptation and specificity, molecular typing, evolution and dissemination of resistant bacteria, metagenome-based studies of resistance, new point-of-care diagnostics for bacteria and antibiotic resistance.
• Antimicrobial Resistance: Biological & Chemical Research covering different modes of resistance both from a biological perspective (understanding structure-function relationships, genetic regulation, etc.) and from a chemistry perspective (understanding structure-activity relationships, novel probes, novel inhibitors & antibiotics etc.). New drug targets and target validation will also be included.
• Sessions covering early career researcher talks, poster session and BSAC grant holder update.
