Fully booked: Clay & glazes: TMs & electrochemistry revision day

7 March 2016 09:30-15:30, Telford , United Kingdom

Introduction
You will cover all aspects of transition metals from the AS/A2 syllabus, from oxidation states and redox calculations to colour and uses. Ceramicists have been making and decorating tiles by using the chemistry of transition metals since the time of the Egyptians, so what better way to revise them than during a trip to a tile factory and museum? The day is delivered by experienced educators and suitable for AS and A2 students. As part of the experience, you will view the museum through a chemist's eyes and also decorate a ""TM revision"" tile to take away!

Please bring a packed lunch. Start Time - 09:30 for 10:00 start. End Time - 15:30
