Dr Black is a Lecturer in the Centre for Materials and Structures at the University of Liverpool, School of Engineering. Her groups main research targets the development of novel functional materials, using inkjet printing, for the manufacture of electronic and
optoelectronic devices. This is done with novel inks such as 'cutting edge' particle-free reactive organometallic (ROM) inks for both planar and 3D printing in a wide variety of applications such as; transparent conducting oxides, PV absorber layers, batteries, sensors and super capacitors, amongst many others.

She is also a founder of LivWise (Liverpool Women in Science and Engineering), which aims to raise the profile and interaction between women in Engineering and Science by providing events, opportunities for networking and mentoring; and a forum for members to exchange experiences, ideas and contacts.

The event is being held at Fredericks neighbourhood kitchen and bar, 32 Hope Street, Liverpool, L1 9BX. The lecture will start at 7.30pm. A buffet will be available from 7.00pm - Come early for a bite to eat and a chance to network! Tickets are free, but places are limited so reserve your ticket for yourself and other guests.
