Introduction

This symposium will bring together leading researchers in organic synthesis in order to share expertise and best practice and discuss cutting edge research and applications and follows the 1st NSFC-RSC International Symposium on Emerging Frontiers in Organic Synthesis that was held in Shanghai last year.

During the course of the two days there will be a mix of plenary and invited talks together with poster sessions that will showcase the important advances made in organic synthesis.

Topics covered include

• synthetic methodology
• total synthesis
• catalysis
• natural products and their applications
• bio-organic and medicinal chemistry.

It is being fully supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and being held at the RSC’s headquarters in London.

The scientific organising committee includes Dr Alison Hulme, Prof Steve Marsden, Dr Vipul Patel, Prof Ning Jiao and Prof Shuli You.
