International Symposium on Materials Frontiers

9 October 2016, Beijing, China

Introduction
This International Symposium on Materials Frontiers will bring together leading scientists from China and overseas in the field of materials science. Recent developments of advanced materials will be discussed at the symposium, including, but not limited to, nanomaterials, electronic materials, functional organic materials and polymers. Meanwhile, there will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and interaction, and we fully believe that all the presentations in this symposium will stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences amongst all the participants.

This symposium is fully supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry and Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS), and is chaired by Prof. Deqing Zhang, Director of ICCAS. ICCAS, founded in 1956, is a leading chemistry research institute in China dedicated to the basic research in broad fields of chemical sciences, and to the key developments of the innovative high-technology applications and transfers. The year of 2016 sees the 60 year anniversary of ICCAS, and we are very glad that this symposium can be part of the celebrations.

The newly launched journal, Materials Chemistry Frontiers, which aims to publish high impact papers that showcase the very best research in materials science across the world, will also be highlighted during the symposium; in addition, the journal’s editor-in-Chief, Prof Benzhong Tang will also be available to discuss the journals.
