Introduction
Designed to foster close relations with the Northern Ireland Assembly and Executive, Science and Stormont is organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry, on behalf of, and in cooperation with, the Northern Ireland science and engineering community.

The Royal Society of Chemistry's fifth annual Science and Stormont event will be held in the Senate Chamber (Afternoon Presentations) and the Long Gallery (Exhibition, Drinks Reception and Buffet), Parliament Buildings, Stormont, Belfast, from 12:30pm to 7.30pm.

Science and Stormont is organised in cooperation with a number of sister societies and professional bodies, including:

*Royal Society of Biology
*Microbiology Society
*The Institution of Chemical Engineers
*Geological Society

This year's scientific presentations are based on the theme of Antimicrobial Resistance
