I'm a Scientist, Get me out of here

7 - 18 November 2016, United Kingdom

This event is for RSC Members only

Introduction
Inspire the next generation in I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here!

I'm a Scientist is an online outreach competition, funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry, where scientists talk about their work with curious school students all over the UK and Ireland at imascientist.org.uk and imascientist.ie.

Members are invited to apply for the next events, which include Energy and Drug Discovery Zones in the UK, and New Materials Zone in Ireland.

Taking part is an exciting and accessible way to develop your communication skills, gain a fresh perspective on your work, and raise students' awareness of careers in chemistry. You could also win £500 or €500 for your own outreach activities, and do all this right from your desk or phone.

Apply to be part of I'm a Scientist, running 7th–18th November, at:
UK event: imascientist.org.uk/scientist-apply
Ireland event: imascientist.ie/scientist-apply

In the event, you'll get to answer online questions from students about your research and engage directly with classes in live, text-based, chats alongside fellow scientists. Students then vote for their favourite chemist over the two weeks, who wins the prize.

Apply to take part by Monday 3rd October, and read more, at imascientist.org.uk/scientists
