Introduction
There is world-wide acceptance of the necessity to transition to lower carbon energy regimes. The access to a constant supply of cheap, clean energy, alongside the need to minimise the impact on our environment, are amongst the key challenges of the 21st century. This symposium intends to foster integration between students, postdoctoral researchers, and professionals specialising in a number of fields within the Energy sector. Join us on 2nd Novemeber from 1pm in the School of Chemistry, Manchester University.

Talks will begin at 1:00 pm with registration from 12:30 pm. The afternoon will consist of 6 oral presentations (3 student and 3 keynote plus a poster session). Each 15-minute student talk will be followed by 5 minutes for questions.

Throughout the afternoon there will be keynote talks from industrial and academic chemists.

The ECN judges will be awarding prizes to participants. There will be prizes for the best oral presentation and for the best poster. These will be awarded at the end of the day.
