Maths for Chemists

29 March 2017 16:00-18:00, Plymouth, United Kingdom

Introduction
‘Maths for chemists’ will take  a hands on approach to the actual questions that are being set by the different boards for GCSE and A level with a chance to examine any commonality and frequency within such quantitative questioning.
'Maths for chemists’ will be delivered by Chemistry Education Consultant Dave Waistnidge. Dave taught chemistry up to A level/IB for well over thirty years, being ‘Head of Chemistry’ for most of that time. He has co-authored several A level textbooks and revised/evaluated chemistry resources for both publishers and the Royal Society of Chemistry. In addition he’s been an examiner in chemistry, initially at GCSE level, but for the past nearly twenty years, as Principal examiner for one of the exam boards, writing A level chemistry papers.  He recently retired and took on the role of chemistry consultant for STEM/RSC, working mainly in the SW, where he has run several courses.
