4th Belgian Peptide (Group) Meeting

28 February 2018 09:00 - 1 March 2018 17:00, Brussels, Belgium

Introduction
After three successful meetings in 2012, 2014 and 2016, with each time about 170-180 participants from academia and industry, the organizing committee has the pleasure to announce the fourth Belgian Peptide Group Meeting organized under the auspices of the European Peptide Society and EUCHEMS division of Chemistry in Life Sciences. The event will take place on February 28th and March 1st, 2018  and, as in 2016, will be located at the brand new conference centre "BEL" in Brussels (Avenue du Port 86C, 1000 Brussels, Belgium), featuring a modern auditorium and plenty of space for posters and exhibitor stands in the atrium. It is located very close to the city centre offering easy access to the train and metro stations, to various hotels and restaurants within a short distance from the conference building. For more information please visit www.bel.brussels.

We will have six plenary lectures with invited speakers covering different peptide research and development areas:
Prof. M. Aguilar, Monash University, Australia
Prof. K. Strᴓmgaard, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
Prof. A. Brik, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Israel
Prof. C. Hackenberger, Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharma-kologie im Forschungsverbund, Germany
Prof. W. D. Lubell, Université de Montréal, Canada
Dr. E. Valeur, Astra Zeneca,
Sweden
In addition, >20 presentations will be selected by the Scientific Committee to respond to participant expectations from such a conference.  Poster presentation/sessions will be organised and we highly encourage you to share your scientific work and results with international attendees.

This meeting intends to cover various aspects in the peptide world: drug discovery and development, pharmacology, structure-activity relationship, drug delivery, synthesis, identification and characterisation. It will also be a great opportunity for PhD students and young scientists to learn about the many aspects of peptide research, and to discuss about peptide chemistry and biology with experienced researchers.

To facilitate participation, the registration fee for PhD students has been limited to 75€ per person, including lunches and coffee breaks. Registration fee for all other participants is 175€.  Please save the dates in your agenda.

The organisers are convinced that this meeting will stimulate fruitful discussions and will be an excellent opportunity for networking. This event also aims at further bridging the gap between academia and industry and will certainly increase the visibility of our sponsors.

Your participation will be crucial for making this initiative a success. For further information please contact us at bpgm2018@vub.ac.be.
Sponsoring and exhibitor options are available. Please contact a member of the organizing committee in this respect.
