Co-ordinating Group on Environmental Radioactivity (COGER) 37th Annual Open Meeting

11 April 2018 12:00 - 13 April 2018 12:00, Manchester, United Kingdom

Introduction
The COGER open meeting is the principal annual meeting of the Co-ordinating Group on Environmental Radioactivity. The meeting takes place annually, usually in April, at different venues throughout the UK. The meeting presents an informal discussion of active and proposed research concerning all aspects of environmental radioactivity.

The COGER objectives are to:
* To promote and advance the science and art of environmental radioactivity research
* To promote, advance and disseminate, to the public advantage, knowledge of environmental radioactivity
* To encourage, support, promote and advance education and training in environmental radioactivity
* To provide advice and support in general to those carrying out environmental radioactivity research

The informal nature of the meeting makes it particularly attractive to student or first time presenters. Presentations that might help the COGER community engage with the ‘impact’ agenda are particularly welcome, especially from non-academic stakeholders.

Presentations on any aspect of environmental radioactivity are welcome as:
 Research presentations (15-20 mins plus five mins for discussion);
 PechaKucha style presentations (20 slides, 20 secs each);
 Short presentations from first year PhD students (10 mins);
 3 Minute Thesis style presentations from PhD;
 Research posters (A1 lanscape).
