Introduction
A unique opportunity for teachers of Chemistry from the region’s schools and colleges to get together and share ideas and teaching strategies.

An informal conference for teachers of GCSE and A-level Chemistry from the region’s schools and colleges to get together and share ideas and teaching strategies. Confirmed sessions include:
  • Writing examination style questions led by Andy Brunning, Chemistry Subject Advisor for OCR
  • GCSE Required Practicals: what have we learnt from the first round of examinations led by Catherine Smith, Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre
  • TeachMeet style sharing of ideas and good practice led by local teachers
We are hoping to confirm shortly the following additional sessions:
  • Curriculum mapping / spiral curriculum
  • Use of oracy to promote learning in science
  • What do students learn in maths and how does this relate to their science learning?
