Promoting diversity in academic research careers

 
This programme of activities is designed to support early-career researchers who are aspiring to an independent career in academic research. The programme is named in honour of Irene Joliot-Curie, the daughter of Marie and Pierre Curie, who won a Nobel prize for Chemistry in 1935, jointly with her husband Frederic, for their pioneering work on artificial radioactivity. Professor Lesley Yellowlees CBE HonFRSC FRSE (Past President of the Royal Society of Chemistry, University of Edinburgh)
Hear from two eminent female professors on either side of the globe about their career paths to success and the barriers they overcame on the way.
