Mixer meeting and talk on marine pollution at The Deep

21 November 2018 18:30-22:00, Hull, United Kingdom

Introduction
Pollution of rivers, seas and oceans with plastic waste is a major environmental concern.  Breakdown of this waste into micro-particles which are taken up by fish is a major concern for human health.  There is also the problem of death from entanglement and consumption by wildlife.  Following a tour, researchers from The Deep will highlight the extent of the problem and what we can do about it.  The evening is rounded off with supper.  The event is free to attend and is open to RSC members, guests and students.
