Introduction
Future Developments in Explosves and Other Energetics
The UK's Centre of Excellence in Energetic Materials (COEEM), in conjunction with the Sector Skills Strategy Group (SSSG) and Cranfield University, is hosting the international conference on the fundamental science of explosives and other energetic materials for the research community. The event is very much aimed at the science of explosives and energetics.  By design it is unclassified with a view to generating a truly international mix of speakers and delegates.  The principal themes include, but are not limited to:
  • Energetic Materials and Characterisations
  • Manufacturing and Processing
  • Responses to Stimuli
  • Advances in Experimental Techniques and Diagnostics
  • Theory, Modelling and Simulation
The format of the event will be:

Day 1: Keynote, presentations, plenaries and drinks reception
Day 2: Presentations, plenaries, three minute thesis, posters, keynote and evening dinner
Day 3: Presentations, plenaries, keynote, awards, lunch and departure

There are a limited number of student bursaries available.
