Professional reference books: These books are written for researchers, industrialists and postgraduates, and provide comprehensive treatments of key research areas. They cover topics from the fundamental principles to the most recent advances in rapidly-developing fields.
Textbooks: Our textbooks provide subject-specific support for undergraduate and graduate courses.
Popular science books: Aimed at general readers, these books introduce people to the chemical sciences, showing their importance and impacts on our lives.
Specialist Periodical Reports (SPRs): This unique series of books offers annual summaries of the current state of research in a given topic.
Please note that SPRs are established series of books; we don't accept unsolicited manuscripts for these series. If you wish to contribute to an SPR volume, please contact the SPR editors directly.
Conference proceedings: If you are organising a conference or symposium then please contact us to discuss publishing the proceedings.
Please be aware that discussions need to begin well in advance of the meeting to allow time to appoint editors and ensure that the speakers are given plenty of notice of the intention to publish the proceedings. These books are submitted as camera-ready copy, which means they will not be copy-edited or typeset. We expect the complete typescript, together with figure permissions, to be submitted within six to eight weeks of the meeting.
We may be able to include the cost of the proceedings volume in the registration fee for the conference, which will allow us to offer a generous discount on purchasing copies of the book to all participants.
Imports: Our sales team can offer sales and distribution support for books that don't have worldwide publication rights.
To discuss selling a book in additional regions through us, please contact the book sales team directly using the details on this page.
Translation: If you are the author/editor of a book currently available in a non-English format, we would be happy to discuss options for publishing an English translation.
Please note that we don't offer any translation services, so you will need to make your own arrangements for the book to be translated.
Co-publication: We can publish books in collaboration with a society or organisation. Please contact us to discuss this further using the details on the page.
